"Be Beast" Series
Gorillas are ground-dwelling, predominantly herbivorous apes that inhabit the forests of central Sub-Saharan Africa. They are the largest members of the primate family and are closely related to humans, with 98% of their DNA identical to that of humans. All gorilla species are classified as endangered by the IUCN. Their decline is largely due to hunting, even though the practice has been outlawed. More horrifically, gorillas are also sought for their meat and for their body parts to display as trophies for those can afford them.
